Music

In the Music Department we realise that ALL pupils are different and have varying abilities in music, and therefore the most important thing is that they try their best and enjoy what they are doing!!

Key Stage 3

The programme of study follows a line of development in listening, composing, performing and improvising activities which should develop the pupils understanding of the basic elements of music, enable them to realise their music potential, and prepare them for further study in Music at Key Stage 4 (GCSE).

Key Stage 4

We offer CCEA GCSE Music for those who wish to study this subject further.

 Extra Curricular

The music department boasts an active choir within the school and in our Area Learning Community that perform on many occasions throughout the year.

We provide instrumental lessons on a variety of instruments and also have the Ulster Scots Society providing chanter and drum tuition.
